UNICEF condemns attack on schools in Nigeria.

The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has described the attack on schools in Nigeria as horrifying following the abduction of students from Government Day Secondary School Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by UNICEF Representative in Nigeria, Peter Hawkins and made available to newsmen in Abuja.

Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Government has ordered the immediate closure of primary and secondary schools due to the worsening state of insecurity in the state.
