Taliban Announces New Government

The Taliban have announced their new interim government for Afghanistan.

A statement issued by the Chief spokesman of the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, named Mullah Akhund, as acting prime minister

The statement revealed that Taliban co-founder Abdul Baradar will be deputy leader, while Mullah Yaqoob, will be the defense minister.

It named Sarajuddin Haqqani, as the new interior minister, and Abas Stanikzai as the deputy foreign minister
