Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has condemned the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN for asking the National Assembly to stop the implementation of the state’s anti-open grazing law.
A statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategy, Doyin Odebowale, described the threat by the pastoralist as unacceptable in a lawful society.
The statement revealed that the government has a responsibility to implement the law for the benefit of the people of the state, adding that it will not condone any invasion of their lands.
Recall that Ondo state government has passed a bill into law that prohibits open grazing.
