The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has said that only security agencies in the country can gain access to people’s personal cell phone information.
The minister made this known on Tuesday while unveiling the Nigerian Communications Commission’s Strategic Vision Plan (2021-2025), in Abuja.
Speaking further, he said that personal information will be issued based on authorized constitutional order as stipulated by section 37 of the constitution.
Pantami said that the proposed regulation will assist security institutions to apprehend criminals.
