The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD says it will not call off its industrial action without the intervention of Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo.
NARD President, Okhuaihesuyi Uyilawa, made this known during a telecast yesterday in Lagos State.
Uyilawa said the union would only return to duty if it got a strong commitment from the Vice President.
The strike which began on August 2 has affected the Nation’s health sector even as the Joint Health Sector Union and the Nigeria Medical Association had threatened to join in solidarity.
