Afghanistan government says women will be allowed to study in universities but classrooms will be gender-segregated and head coverings compulsory.
The Higher Education Minister, Abdul Haqqani who disclosed this during a news conference today, said female university students will face restrictions that include a compulsory dress code.
According to Haqqani, gender segregation will be enforced and the new rules forbid co-education.
He added that female students would be taught by women wherever possible, adding that the subjects being taught would also be reviewed.
