Cross River State Government says plans are set to halt the exportation of raw cocoa in the country as the state owned cocoa factory would commence production for commercial purposes.
The State Governor, Ben Ayade while inspecting the soon to be commissioned cocoa plant factory in Ikom said, the aim is to provide a better alternative to consumers by producing organic chocolates and other consumables.
He added that with this new development, exporting coca for processing will be a thing of the past for the country.
