Umahi Kicks Against VAT Collection by States

Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi says the state is not in support of the move by some states to collect Value Added Tax, VAT.

Umahi maintained that his administration would not support any of the states collecting VAT, adding that the state would continually throw its weight behind the Federal Inland Revenue Service’s collection of VAT.

The governor urged leaders in the country to speak up against dissenting voices that are capable of polarizing the nation.
