The Federal Government has warned candidates and schools against involvement in examination malpractices in the ongoing 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations, WASSCE, across the country.
Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Sonny Echono, who gave the warning today while monitoring the exercise in some schools in Abuja, stressed that anybody caught in malpractice will be punished in accordance with the law.
Echono expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination and noted that over 1.57 million candidates are sitting for the examination in 19,000 centers across the nation.
The Permanent Secretary further disclosed that in states where schools were closed down because of attacks and kidnapping, alternative arrangements are made for the exit classes to take the examination.
