The Federal Government says it has granted the police force powers to prosecute passengers with fake COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction, PCR results.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The statement disclosed that the government took the decision after discovering that some passengers claimed to be diplomats or ignore testing before trips.
It added that travelers found to have filed false information on the travel portal and online health declaration form would be liable to prosecution.
