Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has passed the supplementary budget of N142.72 billion into law.
The Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations and Finance, Uduak Odudoh, disclosed that the supplementary budget is borne out of the need to realign priorities in line with the Completion Agenda of the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration.
Speaker of the House, Aniekan Bassey directed the Clerk, Mandu Umoren, to communicate the decision of the House to the executive arm of government.
The sum is made up of N39.30 billion recurrent expenditure and N103.42 billion capital expenditure.
