Senate Constitutes for amendment of electoral Bill

The Senate has constituted a Conference Committee for the 2021 Electoral Act Amendments Bill.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who announced this during the plenary today in Abuja, said the conference Committee will work with the House of Representatives to harmonize positions on Electronic transmission of results by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Lawan noted that the Committee has the Senate leader, Abdullahi Yahaya as Chairman.

Other members of the Committee include; Kabiru Gaya, Uche Ekwunife, Mathew Urhoghide, Surajudeen Basiru, and Sani Musa.
