The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has given a 72-hour ultimatum to the federal government to pay its members being owed Medical Residency Training Fund and salary arrears.
The ultimatum was given yesterday by the newly elected NARD President, Dare Ishaya during the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the doctors in Bauchi state.
Also, the association demanded the payment of the arrears of salaries of their colleagues.
The NARD President urged the federal government to withdraw the court case against the association in the interest of peace.
The Resident doctors noted their determination to continue with the indefinite strike, which began on August 2, 2021, until their demands are met.
