Chike Akunyili, husband of late former Director General of NAFDAC and minister for information, Prof Dora Akunyili is dead.
Akunyili, a medical doctor was killed on his way from Onitsha to Umuoji at Eke Nkpor alongside his driver and police escort by unknown gunmen.
According to report, Akunyili had on Tuesday attended a lecture at All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha, which was organized by the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association Onitsha branch, in honour of his late wife.
