The House of Representatives has approved the establishment of a University of Education in Benue State.
The bill which was sponsored by the Lawmaker representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Richard Gbande, passed second reading on Wednesday.
According to Gbande, the decision to upgrade the College of Education, Kastina-Ala to a degree-awarding institution is not only a wise investment but one that will show responsiveness by the lawmakers to the need for quality education as enshrined in the constitution.
