House of Representatives call for proscription of Bandits

The House of Representatives has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits terrorists.

The resolution was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance moved by the member representing Ikorodu Constituency of Lagos State, Babajimi Benson today.

Benson said the move will ensure that bandits and their sponsors would be prosecuted under the terrorism prevention act.

Recall that the Senate had on Wednesday resolved that the President should make the declaration.
