Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says it is the duty of the government to secure the lives of the people by ensuring that the healthcare system meets the best of standards.
Wike stated this yesterday while inspecting the level of work at different medical project sites in the State.
Speaking further on the process of ending foreign medical tourism, he said that Nigeria has all it takes to replicate all that is made available to those who travel out of the country to get treated.
The Governor maintain that providing the right infrastructure and improving the welfare of medical practitioners is the best approach to solving the age-long challenge in the health sector.
