Senate confirms appointment of members of NPRA

The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Idaere Ogan, as Chairman, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NPRA.

This follows the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on Downstream Petroleum Sector at plenary today.

Other members of the board that were confirmed includes; Farouk Ahmed as Chief Executive Officer, Abiodun Adeniji, Executive Director Finance and Accounts while Ogbugo Ukoha as Executive Director, Distributions System, Storage and Retail Infrastructure.

Presenting the report, the Chairman of the Committee, Sabo Mohammed, said that the appointments were in accordance with provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021.
