The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has warned Nigerians to stop the sale, consumption and distribution of infant formulas manufactured by Able Groupe.
NAFDAC’s Director-General, Moji Adeyeye, who disclosed this, said the agency received the information from the US-Food and Drug Administration, US-FDA.
Adeyeye revealed that the formulas were said to have insufficient iron levels and did not meet up other requirements of the US-FDA.
The Director-General stated that the Able Groupe products are sold under brand names like HiPP, Holle, Bioland and Kendamil and should be avoided.
