Edo state Government says plans were underway to immortalize the late music legend, Victor Uwaifo.
The Chief of Staff to Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha, disclosed this during a press briefing to announce a state burial of the late Uwaifo in Benin, the state capital.
He stated that a state funeral for the late singer would commence on Thursday, October 14 with tributes, vigil mass/service of songs at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
Iyoha added that the state government was joining the family to give Uwaifo a befitting burial, maintaining that he was a music icon and a man that put Nigeria on the world map.
