Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan has said that the healthcare delivery system is crucial to national security.
Jonathan disclosed this yesterday at the commissioning of the General Hospital in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
He said the COVID-19 pandemic has opened the eyes of everyone including administrators, politicians and professionals that health-related issues should no longer be taken for granted.
The former President urged governments at all levels to ensure that the healthcare needs of Nigerians meet the United Nations specifications on health.
