Nigeria and Germany have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU for the repatriation of hundreds of Benin bronzes from 2022.
This was disclosed yesterday by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, when he received a German government delegation in Abuja.
Mohammed said Nigeria is expecting about 1,130 pieces of artifacts from the world power.
The Minister revealed that though the country acquired them through global trading, it agreed to voluntarily relinquish them to further strengthen bilateral ties
