The Chief of Army Staff has inaugurated 20 residential blocks for soldiers in Giginya Barracks in Sokoto State.
A statement issued by the Army Director of Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, yesterday disclosed that the blocks have the capacity to accommodate 120 families.
The statement revealed that the residential blocks will alleviate the accommodation challenges faced by personnel in the barracks.
It noted that the inauguration of the blocks is part of activities marking the COAS’ operational visit to 8 Division, Nigerian Army.
