South East Governors have urged residents to come out en masse and vote for candidate of their choice in the November 6 governorship election in Anambra state.
A statement signed by the Chairman of South East Governors’ Forum, David Umahi, assured that measures have been put in place to ensure that the election is conducted peacefully.
The statement revealed that the Forum is in dialogue with leaders of the various groups in a bid to ensure that they desist from disturbing the peace of the region.
It thanked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for their commitment towards ensuring a successful conduct of the election, adding that the forum would support the electoral body to ensure a free, fair, and violence-free election.
