Sudan’s military leader, Abdel al-Burhan has announced an agreement with the United States on the need to speed up the formation of a new government.
A statement issued by Al-Burhan’s office said the two parties agreed on the need to maintain the path of the democratic transition, the need to complete the structures of the transitional government and to speed up the formation of the government.
The US State Department spokesman, Ned Price disclosed that the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, urged al-Burhan to return to a dialogue that would ensure the return of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok to office and restore civilian-led governance in Sudan.
