The Federal High Court in Abuja has found the former Chairman of the now defunct Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, guilty of money laundering.
In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Okon Abang, held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has produced essential evidence to prove that Maina is guilty of money laundering.
Justice Abang also found the former Chairman guilty of concealing his identity as a signatory to accounts opened in two banks.
The Judge, however, sentenced him to eight years imprisonment.
