The Minister of Labor, Employment and Productivity, Chris Ngige, has faulted a bill seeking to reorganize the National Social Investment Programs, NSIP, of the Federal Government.
Ngige, who was represented by Paul Okwulehie at the public hearing organized by the House Committees on Poverty Alleviation; Labor and Productivity, said some of the objectives and responsibilities of the proposed bodies would clash with existing ones.
The bill was jointly sponsored by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase and ten other members.
The harmonized bill is also proposing that the state and local governments share the burden of the SIPs with the Federal Government.
