No fewer than five persons have been confirmed dead in a gas explosion at Ladipo in the Mushin Local Government area of Lagos State.
A spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said the explosion occurred today at the Liquefied Petroleum Gas, LPG, domestic retail centre locate at Ladipo Spare Parts Market of the state.
Farinloye stated that the bodies of four adults have been recovered from the scene of the explosion while a boy that was rescued died on getting to the medical centre.
He explained that the fire at the scene had been put off while emergency workers were making effort to recover more bodies.
