Meanwhile, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Muhammad Bello, has met with the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Abuja chapter over the five days warning strike embarked upon by the union.
The meeting, which was held on Thursday, had senior management officers of the FCT Administration and heads of some security agencies in attendance.
The security heads assured the union of their readiness to improve the security situation in all schools in the nation’s capital.
The Union had begun a warning strike to demand better security in schools across Abuja and payment of arrears of promotion benefits for teachers.
