Imo Government Condemns Killing of Soldier

Imo State Government has condemned the killing of a soldier and the burning of houses in Awommamma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state.

A statement issued on Tuesday by the State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, described the crisis as regrettable and avoidable.

The statement revealed that the Governor, Hope Uzodinma has ordered an immediate investigation into the ugly incident with a view to unraveling the cause of the crisis and the attendant loss of life and property.
