Yobe NLC Kicks against 10% Deduction from Workers’ Salaries

The Nigeria Labour Congress in Yobe State has kicked against the government’s plan to deduct ten percent of workers’ November salaries as a contribution to revamp the education sector in the state.

This was contained in a communique signed on Tuesday by the Acting Secretary, NLC, Yobe State Council, Gana Adam and made available to Newsmen in Damaturu, the state capital.

The communique noted the decision was reached to allow for further sensitization and orientation of civil servants across the state.

Recall that the State Government had announced a 10% deduction in workers’ salaries to boost education.
