The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, has urged the Federal Government to shelve the proposed removal of fuel subsidy.
A statement signed by PFN President Wale Oke stressed that removing fuel subsidies will worsen the suffering of the majority of Nigerians who are already impoverished.
The statement noted that the implementation of the policy would lead to a hike in the price of fuel and that would have a ripple effect on prices of goods and services.
It charged the government to put in place tangible palliative measures that could ameliorate the hardship being experienced.
