Wike Urges Media to Prevail on Buhari to Sign Amended Electoral Act

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has urged the media to persuade President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the amended Electoral Act.

Wike, who made the call at an event in Abuja on Wednesday, charged the media to educate Nigerians on the need for electronic transmission of election results for the benefit of the nation’s democracy.

He challenged members of the fourth Estate to enlighten Nigerians on the benefits of both direct and indirect primaries.

The Governor commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the conduct of Anambra State Governorship election.
