Over seven houses and properties worth millions of naira have been razed in a midnight inferno that occurred at the Egbemene community in Warri waterside of Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State.
The fire according to community sources was from a candle light which some unnamed children had put on before going to bed on Wednesday night.
One of the sources confirmed that the mother of the house had left for business in the evening when the candle later fell on the carpet of the house thus igniting the fire.
The children whom were fast asleep were rescued by concerned neighbours and no life was lost.
