Gambia’s incumbent President, Adama Barrow has won re-election.
President Barrow pulled 53% of Saturday’s vote, with the nearest rival, a lawyer, Ousainou Darboe getting 28%.
Although Darboe and other candidates earlier said they could not accept the results of the poll, Barrow during a victory speech in the capital Banjul, called for unity between the country’s political factions.
