Rivers State council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has said 2022 will not be business as usual if the state government continues to ignore workers’ demands.
The State Chairman of NLC, Beatrice Itubo, who disclosed this during an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, the state capital said the union will be ready to take any action decided by workers without looking back to press home their demands.
Itubo disclosed that some of the demands of the workers include payment of gratuities for retired workers, employment of workers as well as promotion of existing workers.
