Adamawa State government has banned the operations of the Professional Hunters Association of Nigeria across the state.
A statement signed on Monday by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, disclosed that the ban would be enforced by the government in the 21 local government areas of the state.
The statement noted that the decision was taken following reports of abuse of rules of engagement and lack of regard for the traditional institution and security agencies.
It ordered the security agencies to ensure that members of the proscribed association adhere to the directive of the government.
