FG Orders Release of 15 Inmates

The Federal Government has ordered the immediate release of 15 inmates of the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the Presidential Committee on Correctional Reforms and Decongestion, Leticia Ayoola-Daniels, confirmed the release of the 15 inmates.

The statement noted that the inmates were given the option of fines and their release was effective after the payment of the fines.

Recall that the Committee ordered the release of 15 inmates with minor offences after the launch of the Kuje Virtual Court Rooms.
