Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has sent an application to the Nigerian Telecommunications Commission, NCC, urging them to restore telephone services in ten of the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
A statement issued by the Director-General, Media to the State Governor, Abdu Malumfashi, stated that the state government decided to suspend the ban as a result of the return of normalcy.
The statement maintained that telecom services remain banned in the remaining seven local government areas of the state.
It revealed that Governor Masari, has signed into law, a Security Challenge Containment Order to address insecurity in the state.
