Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has sacked the State Commissioner for Health, Princewill Chike.
Wike announced the sack when the chairman of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN, Abba Hassan, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House on Monday in Port Harcourt, the State Capital.
He disclosed that Chike was relieved of his position for not seeking the state government’s approval to host the preliminary session of MDCN.
The Governor described the unilateral decision of the Commissioner as embarrassing.
