18-year-old bus conductor, Adeoye Fawaz has emerged the overall champion in a chess and mental mathematics competition held in Oshodi, Lagos state.
The competition organized by a non-profit organization, Chess in Slums Africa, uses games to promote education and raise champions from low-income communities.
The founder of the organization, Tunde Onakayo, disclosed that Fawaz who lives under the Oshodi bridge, emerged as the overall champion in both chess and mental maths against 51 homeless children that participated.
Meanwhile the bus conductor revealed that his goal of being a singer and comedian is still alive while urging Nigerians to help youngsters realize their full potential and receive decent education.
