Benue Community Volunteer Guards to Commence Operation

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom says the Community Volunteer Guards which were established to assist tackle the deteriorating security situation in the state is set to commence operations in January 2022.

Ortom made the disclosure on Sunday during a thanksgiving service in Makurdi, the State Capital.

The Governor stated that the Security Guards would be equipped with lawful weapons to assist conventional security agents in safeguarding the State.
