Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, says it will deploy 1500 personnel across the sixteen local governments of the state ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebration.
A statement issued by the State Commandant of NSCDC, Makinde Ayinla, directed the deployment of officers drawn from intelligence and investigations department, anti-vandal, counter terrorism, operation harmony and armed squad units.
The statement noted that there will be 24 hours surveillance and patrols at all the locations of government critical infrastructures and national assets across the state.
It assured that the agency will ensure peace and security before, during and after the festive period.
