The Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC, has advised members of the National Assembly to drop their proposed bill to outlaw strikes and other industrial actions.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, noted that the proposed bill was an outright violation of the fundamental human rights of workers.
Recall that member representing Enugu State at the House of Representatives, Simon Atige, had championed a bill to prohibit medical practitioners in the employment of federal, state and local governments in the essential sectors from embarking on strikes.
