French Authorities have announced that residents will be required to prove their vaccination status to access restaurants, cultural venues, or inter-regional public transport.
According to the World Health Organization, WHO, Global COVID-19 cases reached a record high last week, with 15 million people testing positive.
WHO chief, Tedros Ghebreyesus added that the huge spike was being driven by the Omicron variant.
Ghebreyesus’s comments came as Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hokestra announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.
