Jega Calls for Immediate Passage of 2021 Electoral Amendment Bill

Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Attahiru Jega, has called on National Assembly and President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately pass the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2021.

Jega made this call on Sunday during a Citizen’s Townhall meeting on the Electoral Bill in Abuja.
He said the country would be better off if it goes into the next election with a new electoral law which will enhance the integrity of the preparations and conduct of the elections.

The former INEC Chairman, however, disclosed that the bill contains a lot of good things that can enhance the integrity of the electoral process.
