NCC Raises Alarm Over Ransom Ware Targeted at Organizational Networks

The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has alerted Nigerians to a plan by a cyber-crime group to deliver ransom ware to targeted organizational networks.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Ike Adinde, disclosed that the criminal group has been mailing out USB thumb drives to organizations in anticipation that recipients will plug them into their personal computers.

The statement stressed that the USB drives contain ‘BadUSB’ attacks.
