Kwara State Government has reaffirmed the use of the hijab by Muslim schoolgirls in all public schools in the state.
The State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Sa’adatu Madibbo-Kawu, made this known during a peaceful meeting between Muslim and Christian stakeholders in Ijagbo, Oyun Local Government Area.
Madibbo-Kawu, appealed to both Muslim and Christian leaders to allow peace to reign in the state.
The Commissioner warned that anybody trying to sabotage the peaceful coexistence among the people of the State will face the full wrath of the law.
