Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has assured traders who lost their shops in the demolished Eke-ukwu Main Market on Douglas Road in Owerri of priority during the allocation of stalls.
The State Commissioner for Commerce, Simon Ibegbulem, made the disclosure when he inspected the project in Owerri, the State Capital.
Ibegbulem said the market has 2,925 stalls with modern facilities, including a bank, police post and fire service, among others, when completed.
The Commissioner disclosed that the project which is over 40 per cent completed, would be rounded off and inaugurated by December 2022.
