The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, has said the South-East is lagging behind in COVID-19 vaccination.
Executive Director of the Agency, Faisal Shuaib, made this known at the South-East zone Primary Health Care and COVID-19 Vaccination Review meeting on Wednesday in Enugu State.
Shuaib noted that the region was projected to vaccinate at least 100,000 persons per day, but had an awful turnout of 6,000 per day.
The Director urged people of the South-East to rise up and show leadership in COVID-19 vaccination like they had always done in preventable diseases vaccination.
